Professional associations and unions

Representative bodies or unions do sometimes have student or starter rates. You can also usually sign up for newsletters for free.

BAM! Popauteurs an association for pop musicians, songwriters and dj's.

Beroepsvereniging Componisten Multimedia (BCMM) is the professional association for composers in advertisement, film, jingles and game music. There is a student rate for the contribution.

Beroepsvereniging van Improviserende Musici (BIM) is the professional association of improvising musicians promotes the interests of improvising musicians. From December 2022, BIM and the Kunstenbond will continue together. BIM will continue to exist as an independent association.

Dutch Agents Association (NAA) is the professional association of agencies/management bureaus. These agencies work as business and artistic supervisors for performing and creative artists, including actors, directors, (script) writers, presenters and comedians working in the theatre, television, film and music world.

Music Managers Forum Netherlands (MMF NL) is a trade organisation for music managers. The MMF is a platform where problems and areas of concern within the music industry can be discussed. The MMF NL is intended for managers who work in the Netherlands and/or represent Dutch artists.

Nederlandse Vereniging van Zangpedagogen is the Dutch association for voice teachers. There is a student rate for the contribution.

Nieuw Geneco is the Society for Dutch composers acts as a professional association to promote the direct and indirect interests of Dutch composers.

Vrije KNTV is a professional association for musicians.

Beroepsverenigingen Muziek (BvM) is an umbrella organisation of professional associations in the field of music and music education. The aim of the collaboration is to form a strong, collective voice for professional musicians and music teachers in the Netherlands.

Kunstenbond is a union for the arts with a focusgroup on music. The Nederlandse Toonkunstenaarsbond (Ntb) is part of the Kunstenbond. In addition, they will be working together with BIM from December 2022.

CNV is a union, also for the arts.

Nederlandse Associatie voor de Podiumkunsten (NAPK)
The NAPK is the association of professional performing artists in the Netherlands. NAPK acts as the employers' organization and concludes collective agreements on behalf of the industry with the trade unions. At the same time NAPK facilitates the positioning of the performing arts to politics, different governments and relevant cultural funds. In addition NAPK organizes networking events.

Artiesten Belangen Centrum (ABC)
Branch organisation for independent artists and musicians. The ABC has been founded to tackle problems in the working field among and professional artists and at the policy level.  She provides information, organizes networking events and activities to support the professions.

Platform for Freelance Musicians (PvFM)
The PvFM wants to hold a key position between the various art unions and other cultural interest groups for classically trained musicians. The PvFM strives for better salaries and working conditions, more solidarity in the cultural sector and greater support in society.

Popcoalitie
The Popcoalitie is a collaboration of numerous organizations from the pop and dance music sector.
